Merry Christmas!

Hi, everyone! I just got back from my cousin Gina's where I spent my Christmas with family. I took the above picture in Gina's home. She always does such a nice job decorating for the holidays.We all had a very nice time :)) I hope your Christmas was enjoyable as well. -Tom

About Dust Specks

Don’t look now, but Dust Specks are EVERYWHERE! Dust Specks is a cartoon that revolves around five characters, made of dust, and their interactions with each other and everything in the world (they truly get around). The main cast is Dusty, Storm, Bunny, Bitsy, and Micro. Other characters include Dust Mites (the villains), Dirt (the thugs), Sand (cowabunga, dude!), Geez, and Cosmo.

The concept of Dust Specks materialized when I noticed some dust on my nightstand one afternoon. For whatever reason, the thought of a cartoon ran through my mind and within minutes, I wrote my first strip.

The biggest challenge I faced from the start was the inability to draw. Instead of throwing in the towel, I began utilizing artists in my area to prepare the illustrations for me. In the end, I connected wth Terrice Kimble and I couldn't be happier.

Dust Specks - A Children's Book

I completed a manuscript for a book that revolves around the Dust Speck's cast. The book is called "A Message from Dust Specks - You are Special" and is about a young girl named Lisa who was teased at school. To help Lisa snap out of her sad mood, the cast lowers Storm (by rope with megaphone in hand) close to Lisa's ear to speak uplifting and empowering words to her.
