Back In The Hospital!

Hi, Everyone. Earlier this week, my side began hurting again and I had to go to the hospital. I developed an abscess where I recently had surgery that is being addressed. I am not sure when I will be released, so I decided to update you from my iPhone. I planned to post a “Happy 4th of July” cartoon today, but can’t from here. Great way to spend a holiday! The only good thing about being here are the pretty nurses 😊 Anyway, I'll be in touch. -Tom

About Dust Specks

Don’t look now, but Dust Specks are EVERYWHERE! Dust Specks is a cartoon that revolves around five characters, made of dust, and their interactions with each other and everything in the world (they truly get around). The main cast is Dusty, Storm, Bunny, Bitsy, and Micro. Other characters include Dust Mites (the villains), Dirt (the thugs), Sand (cowabunga, dude!), Teenie (Bity's best friend), Geez, and Cosmo.

The concept of Dust Specks materialized when I noticed some dust on my nightstand one afternoon. For whatever reason, the thought of a cartoon ran through my mind and within minutes, I wrote my first strip.

The biggest challenge I faced from the start was the inability to draw. Instead of throwing in the towel, I began utilizing artists in my area to prepare the illustrations for me. In the end, I connected wth Terrice Kimble and I couldn't be happier.
