Crazy Day...

I had one of those days.  The commute to my office is approximately thirty five minutes (depending on traffic). This morning, traffic sucked, so it took almost an hour to get in.  Of course, there were a lot of horrible drivers along the way (that's always fun).  Right when I got to the office, I had a client meeting. It went well, but it made my day more hectic nonetheless. After the meeting, I caught up on some office work, but had to hit the road soon after.  First, I grabbed lunch.  Did I eat a nutritious meal?  Not today.  I went to Burger King and had a bacon double cheeseburger, french fries, and a diet coke (at least the drink wasn't fattening!). The food tasted good, but it made my stomach turn later. I then drove an hour to a property we represent to lease a vacancy.  The person I met said the space wasn't what he was looking for, so the trip was a waste of time.  By the way, as I drove through Connecticut, I received  numerous calls from an assortment of people which added to the craziness. My car then got very low on gas, so I had to make a quick stop to fill my tank. I pulled over in a rough (high crime) area; I had no choice (my tank was that low).  While I was paying for my gas, a person who was drunk stumbled inside the station and got really loud.  He actually scared some of the patrons. If you knew me, you would know I get along with most people. However, when someone is being an idiot, I am not going to stand around and do nothing. I turned to the drunk (at which time he glanced at my karate cap that reads "kempo" across it), stared him in the eye, and said, "shut the f@*k up!"  Sorry for swearing, but those were my words :)) You know what he said back to me?  He said, "ok" and he shut up. Lol!!!  He didn't say another word. After I paid for my gas, I waited for him to leave to make sure he wouldn't bother anyone. Fortunately, he kept his mouth closed and peacefully walked out. A woman turned to me and said "thank you."  It was funny and gratifying too.  So, that is how my day went.  Like the specks in the cartoon above, the first scene was me during the day (going crazy) and the second scene is me now (chillin' at home). Everything worked out in the end. It always does :))
